Description
I started over reading, all the way back at the beginning to prep myself for finishing the final volume. And I got inspired to do a sketch of this scene. I sketched it out a couple times before, but this is more finished. Still sketchy, but that's me. At least I'm getting pictures out lol.
"It’s a long story. I’ll explain along the way. Can you get up?" Celari knelt down to help Trunks up but he pulled his arm away gently.
"That’s alright, I can get up myself."
Out of respect Celari stepped back. However, it only took one step for Trunks’ knees to buckle under him. Celari caught him under his arms and braced him firmly with her legs. He instinctively had grabbed onto her making him blush from humiliation.
She sighed and raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, you can get up. Right." Trunks found his footing and tried to let go, but she held firm to the arm that found its way over her shoulder.
"I’m fine. Really," he said stubbornly.
Celari responded firmly, "Trunks, please. I’m just trying to help you."
Trunks hesitated to speak his mind, but couldn’t hold it in any longer.
"No, you’re not…"
"What?…" She was confused by his comment and slightly offended.
"…You’re just trying to make yourself feel better," Trunks accused her. He finally looked her square in the eye. "I’m not so easily trusting as my mother... and I’m not gonna just forget about what happened. So you can stop trying to get on my good side because it’s getting annoying." He pulled away.
Celari’s patience finally broke with him. She growled and grabbed him by his shirt with both hands.
"Now you listen to me!!" She slammed him against a rock wall gaining his full attention. "I just saved your life, Trunks! Do you get that? I promised Bulma that you’d come home in one piece…" Celari’s face turned threatening, "…but if anything happens to my little brother because you were slowing me down, then I can’t guarantee the condition of the piece you’ll be in when you get back! Are you getting me now?" she yelled tensing her grip on him.
Trunks couldn’t say a word. He stared back wide-eyed and slightly intimidated by her outburst. - Volume III: Chapter III
