Description
Zeiss-Großplanetarium as a farewell gift for a colleague with whom I shared a room and the runs for 4.5 years.A friend of mine told me that it looks a bit like a soviet techno-utopia, so be it.
I should work on my lighting and on incorporating humans in the scenes.

I don't get the utopia vibe from this, then again I do not know what a soviet techno-utopia is. I can see solarpunk or an environmental utopia though. For me this feels like an off the highway place in Canada or a big park, which are things I do like. I find you did wonderfully with the watercolor. It feels like a comic from the 70's or a cover of a Newberry Award book. The lighting is wonderful the sunset, The colors add to this sunset feel. I think, along with the people tell me they're leaving one of those tourist destinations and are about to wait for the train.
Anyway good job, I can see the connections to the theme of parting.

Usually I do not read contemporary stuff, so the 'aged' feel does not bother me at all. What does bother me, however, is that I precisely see what they use for an ashtray, where it is in the building, what kind of books they have on their bookshelf AND what the bookshelf itself looks like (with sliding glass doors that love being stuck).

I love the way you tackled the fore and midground against the setting sky. It reflects the sense of emotion you have with this place. I am also feeling like standing there as the sun is going down and bidding goodbye to a place that I fell in love with.
