Generally speaking, I'm pretty impressed with this artwork. The usage of light is absolutely stunning, so much so that it reminds me of some of my most favorite artists. The colors consist of warm tones that start and the window with yellows and end at the books with purples to give off a cozy sunset sort of aura. It shows you know what you're doing when it comes to lighting. The multiple layers of objects in the room gives the setting a good sense of depth. There is a lot of intricate detail everywhere you can look. I can tell a lot of time was spent on this. I also want to take the time to tell you that I really appreciate how smooth the lines are.

As for the negatives, there are only two things that would need improvement. If you aren't aware of what a tangent line is, it's when the lines of one object awkwardly merge with the line of another object, making them look unnatural and stuck together. I can see this happen a few times in this artwork. The most noticeable examples are the arm of the further back character merging with the bookshelf, and the wing on the same character merging with the squirrel's tail.

The other issue is simply anatomy. There is a strange pull to the lower halves of the faces. I would probably ignore this as part of your style if it didn't look so out of place with how detailed everything else is. I suggest using more guidelines in your sketch layer to prevent this. It's also always good to draw real photos in your own style for practice. Remember; you can make your style as cartoon as you want, just always make sure that you keep real life as your base. I sincerely hope you find my advice helpful, and that you advance even further as an artist in the future.

I noticed a few mistakes when I was outlining but to be honest (this is petty for me to say) I didn't really care...I know I shouldn't think that way but I've only been more motivated to draw comic pages instead of original artz for the past few weeks. I sorta just wanted to whip something up to get me out of that little phase (It didn't work)
But yeah...
I already do the whole humane thing. I learned that back in art class. It's good to look off other artist at times, but you should always stick with real life. I'm still practicing with anatomy though.

and the filled in area on their necks is just a trick I learned from anime artist. It sounds sorta potato, but I don't plan on changing it. I like it.

Fair enough. What you decide to keep and change is your decision as an artist.

Also, I think I wasn't very clear on something. I didn't mean the shading on the necks was an anatomy mistake, I meant that the chins aren't aligned well with the rest of the face.

Oh geez, I meant "start at the window". I'm very sorry! It's hard to properly check through so much text... orz
