Description PLEASE TAKE A QUICK LOOK! I have two versions of this piece where mainly the saturation varies and I'd like to hear which one looks better. I have discovered that it depends a lot on which screen your looking at it through and I want to know which one looks the best on most screens. The feedback would mean a lot to me, thank you! (Any other feedback is also very much appreciated of course)

Another contest piece, this one is for the contest hosted by HetaliaNationsUnite , here's the contest in question: fav.me/d9ofocu The color theme was blue together with the emotions "Trust" and "Serenity". Initially I tried to incorporate both but towards the end I think I went more for serenity. Maybe I didn't succede with either of them, but I tried my best. To me, rain (storms aside) has always been very calming, giving me a sense of peace. I love sitting somwhere where I can remain dry and warm while listening to the rain (and during my more crazy times, I also enjoy walking in it ^^).

To those waiting for me to complete your request: I have a few more pieces with a deadline but after that I will start working on them as soon as I can. I am not a fast worker, quite the opposite, but I don't half-ass anything either.

Software used: Clip Studio Paint Pro (or Manga Studio 5) and FireAlpaca
Time to make: 30-45h

The rain is softly pouring down. The sound is soothing and fills you with determination.

Ååh vad fin! Regnet ser så "magiskt" ut (kommer inte på något bättre ord för att beskriva det ), och jag gillar verkligen färgerna och att du gjorde förgrunden så oskarp! Lycka till med tävlingen!

Åh, tack så mycket!   Haha, "magiskt" duger så bra så tycker jag ("Du e en trollkarl Harry!" ... vet inte, har varit i England för mycket XD). I början hade jag gjort en regnbåge på skämt (som referens till Pride-flaggan) men kom på att "Hallå där, lite färg skulle nog inte skada" (även om temat var blått). Oskärpan duger både till att lägga focus på mitten och att gömma hur lat jag blev med de sista blommorna  - de är mycket sämre ritade än de i mitten. XD Tackar tackar, det kommer jag att behöva!

Haha, det skadade verkligen inte! De rosa detaljerna får verkligen bilden att kännas magisk (ja, jag använder det ordet igen, hehe) och livfull
Åhå, det var en smart idé! XD
Förresten, för att svara på frågan i din description, av de två bildversionerna gillar jag den här bäst. Det känns som att den har mer djup och liv, och de fina färgvariationerna i regnet kommer fram mycket tydligare

Personnally, I can see the "trust" part, in the attitude of both character, specially finland! (if I'm right ^^)

Ah yes, you are very right, and he does stand for pretty much all the expressing of trust in this picture. Actually, out of these two, he stands for pretty much all the expressing, period.

I can clearly say it looks marvelous. Also how can you sit so much on one art? I like.. done something that took me 12 hours and it is looking like half good as that. Seriously.

Marvelous seems like a strong word but if you think so then that makes me very happy.  Well, I suffer from being both a bit of a perfectionist and really stubborn (to the point where I overwork my art and ruin it that way). Sometimes, it's better to know when to quit instead of overdoing something. And since your art looks really good (let me tell you, after 12h this didn't look half as good as it does now ), I think "half as good" is selling yourself short, even without knowing what your piece looks like.

I really really love this!! Both versions are good, but I prefer this one ^ ^ There's a more ethereal feel to it compared to the other one, and it sets the atmosphere brilliantly! Definitely fits in better with the "trust" and "serenity" aspects of the contest - especially with "serenity"
Good luck in the contest!! I wish I could say what I want to say about this piece properly but words fail me ; v ; Just... I love it so much!!

Hm, fair point, I didn't think that much about how the atmosphere was affected but now that you mentioned it I think you're right (I mostly thought the other one looked flat compared to this one  ). 
Gyaaaaah, that makes me so happy to hear (I think I'm the only one in this contest at the moment, but I'll need that luck)!  Well, I think you managed well with your words, thank you so much for the feedback and- well the whole comment! (now that's a fail with words XD)

Aw, is that so?   Well, to be honest blue often represents how I feel too. If you want to talk about it, I'm willing to listen (it might be weird to hear from a stranger but since I'm familiar with feeling really, really down I do genuinely care about those who feel similarly).

Well, this is very beautiful! So as the other version, they both had their own charms. But personally, I prefer this one rather than with the lighter shade. This gives off a more serene midnight effect. Plus in this version, the colors of the rain droplets are visible and the blur at below blends well with the sky than the other version. But of course the choice is yours, you decide, just like what I said, it both had their own charms As for the theme I think it went well. Seychelles (correct me if I'm wrong) leaning to Alfred (correct me if I'm wrong, again) gives off a calming sensation and gives of a vibe of trust. She's sleeping so it looks like she's very comfortable with him.
The art is good, have confidence! Good luck on the contest !

Thank you very much, both for the compliment and the feedback! I asked another friend before uploading and she said essentially the same thing, but it's nice to get it confirmed (I was pretty set on this one myself but when looking at it trough different screens it appears, well, different). Hehe, like doubleox515 said, it's actually supposed to be Finland and Sweden. It's alright though, I have recieved comments earlier that it isn't entierly easy to see which characters I draw when they are so heavily "me-ified". But the feeling with the leaning, comfort and trust was exactly what I hoped to express (even though I thought I'd failed on that part). Again, thank you very much, I really apprieciate your comment!
