Description well ... I was bored XD

DON'T FORGET : A skirt is always shorter on the back !!!
Why ? Answer :
Skirts are made the same lenght ( front & back ) but when you look at a girl anatomy: front is flat and back is round.
To have the same lenght on the front and the back you have to wear the skirt way lower on the back.

The difference is about 3/4 inches.

As a girl who almost only wear skirts : It really is XD

Pfffft, hahahahaha, thank you a bunch!!! I don't wear skirts often, would never have realized that... So that's why some skirts nowadays are tailored to be a bit longer on the back...

I only use my account just to see art without ads. but I love to draw, in jr. high and high school I would draw anime and real-life all the time but in college and with a job theres no time. (almost 3 yrs.) ive actually begun to forget how to draw the stuff I once did so now im trying to set aside time to practice basics.Β  Im telling you this because seeing your artwork inspires me and literally makes me want to draw youre truly talented, thanks for these references and advice! it really helps!

Coming from a girl who really just doesn't wear skirts much at all; UNNNG THANK YOU. I had never really noticed the difference in back and front lengths since I tend to wear longer (knee length) type skirts! It seems so obvious now though that it's something I've not been doing and I think it'll help me a lot with turn arounds and just overall understanding how it looks from all angles. Once again; Thank yoouuuu.

Great skirt sketches~

But as a tailor, I must disagree with your note about a skirt always being shorter at the back.
It may be true with mass produced skirts and dresses because they base their patterns on an average body and your butt may be smaller or bigger than they intended the garment for (they can have many test fittings where they make sure the garment doesn't look unbalanced / shorter on one side versus the other before it is sent to mass production). Which means the skirt can also be longer at the back if you do not have the butt to fill out the "average butt" space.
Also, tailors custom make clothes in a way that the hem is always parallel to the floor if model is standing with a balanced posture.

I'm always enjoying your designs by the way. Keep it up~
