The breeding picture for Rocking On Voltaire and RR Leave It To Chance

mare info -

Name: RR Leave It To Chance
Called: Chance
Age: 4 years
Breed: American Paint Horse X Appendix Quarter Horse
Color: silver bay overo
Gender: mare
Personality: Chance is rather shy and withdrawn towards others, often standing alone rather than being part of the herd. She's got a sweet disposition, which makes her a wonderful mare for children and beginners. However, she can also be a bit aggressive when it comes to personal space, her stall, and 'her' humans. She tends to be rather pushy toward people or other animals that she knows well, but will often try to 'hide' from new comers.

-STORY TIME-
Amanda quietly unloaded the beautiful stallion from her trailer after the long drive. "Easy boy.." She mumbled as he pranced around her. "Easy." She stepped into him and gatherd the lead rope a bit more, pulling out her phone with her spare hand and texting her boss, Beth. After informing her that Voltaire had arrived safely, Amanda headed to the near-by paddock where the breeding would take place. She ties the stud to the fence for a moment to unwrap him and such, then opens the gate and leads him in. "There you are. Go stretch while Beth brings in the lady, alright?" The teen said, unbuckling his halter and sliding it off his patterned head. She closes the gate behind her as she leaves, then sits on the top of the fence to wait for Beth and Chance. Voltaire bolted around the paddock, obviously happy to get to stretch his legs after his flight, and then the 2 hour drive. Amanda couldn't help but smile as he let out a couple happy bucks and slowed to a nice trot. She turned her head as she heard a soft snort behind her and gravel grunching.
Beth watched the stallion for awhile, then turned to Chance, feeling the mare's nervous tension. "Whoa, Chance. Take it easy pretty girl." Beth soothed the pinto mare, stroking her neck softly and offering Amanda a calm smile. "He looks good. I'm glad the travel didn't have any ill effects." Amanda nodded and turned back to watching him. Beth clicked softly to their mare and lead her to the gate, letting out a soft whistle to the stallion. As he stopped and looked at her, Beth smiled again. "There's going to have quite a dazzling foal.." She mumbled, mostly to herself. Amanda once more nodded her agreement as the stud danced his way across the paddock to meet the new mare. He stopped just on the other side of the fence and let out an eager nicker, reaching his muzzle toward Chance's. Chance, wanting no part of his touching snorted sharply and squealed, striking out with a foreleg and attempting to spin away. At Beth's commanding tug on the lead rope, Chance once more calmed down, looking the stud over. After a few more moments Amanda hopped off the fence and opened the gate, allowing Beth to lead Chance in and release her. As soon as the halter was freed from Chance's face the mare jumped into a full out gallop, headed for the pond close to the other side of the paddock. As she grew closer she slowed a bit and bucked a couple times, shaking herself. Voltaire was close behind, more than happy to play chase with her. As the mare finally calmed down, she eased into a trot, still following the fence line. As she headed back to the girls she began to gather herself, prepairing to jump a small stream which connected the pond to the ones in the near-by paddocks. Beth and Amanda both laughed as the mare practically skipped over it, while Voltaire hesitated before carefully crow-hopping across. Chance slowed to a full stop about 4 yards away from the girls, turning to look at the stallion following her. She snorted camly and flicked her ears toward him, letting out a friendly nicker. Voltaire eased up to stand inched from Chance's face, blowing warm air over her face and he sniffed at her. Knowing the pair would be alright now, Beth and Amanda hop off the fence and head toward the barn togeather, both shooting once more look at the two before entering it. The last look showed the stud and mare touching muzzles and nickers, as though asking eachother how they were doing. "Well, how do you do?" Beth teased, giggling.
