I had a sudden attack of needing to paint. I wish that happened more often!
Strange character, I know. I wanted to paint someone who wasn't some ordinary pretty boy.
EDIT: Refined hand, cleaned up background a little.
Time: About 5-6 hours
Tools: Photoshop CS4 & Wacom Graphire Tablet

The first thing that stands out to me is the fantastic colour scheme. I love blue and red and believe they work very well together, and in this instance, the light, pure blue immediately catches your eye and draws you into the rather dark and sinister mood of the picture. Very nice choice of colour to express the contrast of the piece.
As far as making it appear like he's coming out of the screen... I am not so sure it works. I think the problem lies in the fact that both the man and his hand are exactly the same in terms of tone and highlights. This could be easily fixed by keeping the hand and the hole as is, but putting a darker filter over the man and the background, or faintly layering some kind of 'screen' stock over him. It doesn't need much more than that.
Overall, though, a nice piece. Well done, mate.

This isn't really a critique, but it might look neat if it was possible to do this:
Make his hand appear very close-up (I'm trying to think of the term, "forced-perspective" comes to mind, but I don't think that's it . . .) So much so that his fingers and the screen manipulation actually extend PAST the border, so it appears to the viewer that he is actually reaching for them . . .

Reminds me of a cross between Medusa and Psymon from the SSX series. But onto the image.
He's coming through the screen, right? That's what I'm guessing, at least.
Question though; shouldn't there be more light reflecting on his glasses? The swirling light is in front of him after all. I could be wrong, though.
