Hello, here! This year, Rising-Artists will be celebrating the holiday season with another Secret Santa Event!

What's a Secret Santa Event?
Secret Santa is when you receive a present from a mysterious "Santa" and give your own present to another unsuspecting person on Christmas! It's somewhat skin to a blind art trade. As always, people will be loosely assorted into a spectrum of skill levels, so there's no worries about receiving subpar gifts.

How to Participate:
Join the group (if you haven't already) and either comment on this journal, send a note to Lawli-Art , or send a group note by November 10th, stating that you'd like to participate. You also should have an art-related wishlist available by then, so that your Secret Santa knows what to draw for you.

Make a Wishlist!
A wishlist is what you'd like for a gift! Please make your wishlist in sta.sh or in a journal. (Humanoid characters only-please suggest at least two. No couples-You are only required to draw one character.) Here's a sample for you to follow:

What I'm Unwilling to Draw/Bad At: NSFW, muscular, anthro/furry, the elderly.

Being a Santa:
✽ PLEASE PUT IN YOUR BEST EFFORT! All gifts must have been lined and colored (or painted, if desired), and have a basic background-If you're planning to submit a lackluster sketch, please don't sign up. Bases, traced or copied artwork, and stolen art will not be accepted.

✽ Every level of artwork is accepted! Folks will be sorted into categories and levels of skill, so hopefully you'll receive artwork that's around your skill level.

✽ Visual artists only, please!

✽ Only humanoid characters will be drawn-No anthros, animals, etc.

✽ Who will I draw for?
The wishlists will be sent out via note around November 15th.

✽ When should I submit my gift?
On December 25th or 26th! Please tag Lawli-Art as well as the recipient, (so I can cross it off my list) and submit it to the group gallery. If you also cross-post to tumblr, please tag as #rass2016 .

✽ Where do I submit the wishlist?
You can type it up on sta.sh, write a post on tumblr, make it a public journal, whatever!

✽ What happens if I don't submit my gift?
You can apply for an extension, or if you never submit it, your name will be left on the front page. You'll have to make an apology, and you'll be banned from participating in future SS events. A replacement, or "surrogate" will then draw something for the recipient instead. (Note: If you have a legitimate reason, such as health or other events, you will be excused.)

✽ I'm not always active on dA, but can I still participate?
Of course! This event will also be posted on rising-artists.tumblr.com , so you can follow there to keep up to date.

✽ How do I apply to be a surrogate?
Note me or the group, and tell me the number of artworks that you're willing to draw! Anyone willing to volunteer deserves lots of love. <3
