Once you get the brush settings down nothing can stop you! Take your time and don't be afraid to make mistakes. It's part of the learning process! ^___^

How come at step 2 in your picture, you get a nice graduated little wavy line in your picture? Mine isn't graduated and I keep fussing over your steps; I'm doing everything right.. what did you leave out? :s
Oh and are you assuming tablet or mouse? cause I just have a mouse...

I'm sorry, a tablet is necessary to achieve that effect. You can buy the one I use from aiptek.com for about $50. I've been using it for 2 years now. ^_^

This is awesome, and even though I'm still using Photoshop 7, a lot of this is going to help me out tremendously.
As to your question about Anime hair, I'd like to see a tutorial for that as well.
