JUST SOLD!! This is a brand new piece, and it was one of the bast challenges I have given myself in a long time. This owl is made completely out of fine dusted multi - colored neon glitter. I drew every part of the owl in glue, then very carefully added the glitter and fine pen details. The eyes are built up for a 3d effect, I used beach sand to make the stand off of the canvas. The middle of the eyes have little metal stars in them. The background is a painting I started almost five years ago... so I decided to combine the two subjects together. The owl has been sealed very well, so it is touchable, leaving your fingers clean from the glitter.Related content

Reminds me somewhat of the mechanical owl in "The Clash of The Titans". Not the modern film I mean, but the 80s one, which Ray Harryhausen worked on. Remarkable I must say this. Fave.
