I think switching to full color makes it easier to add those kinds of details in, since I don't have to think about how to tone it, or worry that the tones will make a gray mess. (and bonus: fire will be less inconsistent/bad and since I picked the fire starter... lol) Also, the mug looks better/cuter irl, but I didn't want to sit there adding all the different colors (here's a picture of the goods set: [link] ) ;w;

Hey, replicating the colors of the mug would have been just eleventy more minutes of work for each panel it's in. Totally worth it. And those are the best mugs ever.
