Something that always struck me about the sons of FΓ«anor was that even though they ended up making enemies of everyone else, they always stuck together. They never turned on each other. This painting and quote really convey that. I was always able to stop in the middle of "Did you really just try to shoot Luthien after she just saved your life? (it was Curufin in the Silmarillion though it's Celegorm in the poem, I believe)" to think "Aw, at least they seem to care about each other."

Another good one! Celegorm looks suitably evil, and Curufin really looks like I'd expect someone to look who just got pulled of his horse and half strangled.
Just ask: Why is Celegorm holding his sword, rather than his bow?
