Description STAR WARS
Β The helmet is a limited 500 piece EFX Sandtrooper helmet that I modified, changed the lenses to Dark green movie accurate lenses and added a voice amplifier and speakers in it. I also modified and painted it to match the rest of my armor. Later the belt and shoulder straps were replaced with canvas straps. The entire snap, buckle, and close system was built up by myself. Certain elements of the armor that are unique to sandtroopers were sculpted by myself in order to modify this from stormtrooper armor. Boots where purchased from Caboots.com. Additionally, leather ammo pouches and shoulder pauldrons were purchased from dealers online and then painted/weathered by me. This is several different coats of various desert earthy colors applied with brushes, sponges, tissues, etc.

Wow that is so cool and awesome. I want a set. Then I can hunt down Rebel scum.

To be honest I looked at a few commercial sets and they cost about Β£1000 which was nuts. I still think about buying the Scout Trooper helmet because thats my other favourite set of Imperial armour.

Hey Thanks Chris! I think I probably ended up spending around $2,000 and a lot of my time creating it. It was worth it though because the whole project was a journey. It was a ton of fun and in the end, I've got a sweet costume I can wear from time to time and then a totally cool display item while it's on my mannequin in the living room.
The thing with the commercial sets is that they are gonna require some custom fitting to your body type as well if you plan to make them comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time. The scout troopers are definitely awesome man. Such a nice set of armor. I also really like the Snowtroopers and had considered building a set of that armor. Right now though, I'm in the middle of building my own custom bounty hunter. I'm sure it's gonna be a sweet suit of armor.

Well it looks great. I hope you have fun making your bounty hunter costume. Although a Snowtrooper would be pretty cool to make too.

Thanks brother! And yeah I would love to have a snowtrooper too. Especially living here in Germany where we actually get snow. It would make some excellent photos

We get snow in the UK too, only thing is these days it kind of happens in February or March which is completely nuts and not very useful. I guess you could hop along the border to Austria, plenty of snow on those mountains most of the time.
