STAR WARSThe helmet is a limited 500 piece EFX Sandtrooper helmet that I modified, changed the lenses to Dark green movie accurate lenses and added a voice amplifier and speakers in it. I also modified and painted it to match the rest of my armor. Later the belt and shoulder straps were replaced with canvas straps. The entire snap, buckle, and close system was built up by myself. Certain elements of the armor that are unique to sandtroopers were sculpted by myself in order to modify this from stormtrooper armor. Boots where purchased from Caboots.com. Additionally, leather ammo pouches and shoulder pauldrons were purchased from dealers online and then painted/weathered by me. This is several different coats of various desert earthy colors applied with brushes, sponges, tissues, etc.

how much would you say more or less for 5 sets of armor? i want to get it done for a large scale group of mine and would like to get the best price possible i will be willing for $1,500 Β in total of all spending.

If you do all the painting and assembling by yourself, you may be able to get ONE suit of armor done for that price.Β No way to get 5.

any idea how i can get the materials and make it myself? if it means its cheaper than i will try anything. I kinda just got fired and am trying to scalvange up what i can.

Sorry to hear that.Β You'll find that there's no cheap way to do it.Β Best advice I can give you is to visit www.whitearmor.net/forum/ and www.mepd.net/ - read read read and learn from the tutorials and links provided to the different costumers who sell molded parts etc. It's a long journey, shorter if you have money to through around, but requires research.Β Makes it more fun anyways

I would recommend taking a tour of www.whitearmor.net - you'll need to register a username so you can tour the forums there but for all the stormtrooper costume building needs, they're the place too go. I remember some threads from some ladies who built their own set too. I'm sure you'll enjoy those!
