Written Version: Scarlet River P1 The moon was a sliver in the sky, only dimly shining on a winter night. Darkness clung to the snow-covered forest below; deep shadows lying beneath the bare, black branches. Through thick swathes of snow a young cat struggled forward. Her head barely cleared the surface of the cold, white substance, and her brown, silver-striped coat was plastered to her sides, revealing a jutting ribcage. She had been running for many suns and moons now, relying on instinct and a darker resource...one that the kit tried hard to ignore.
She took another faltering step, her paws numb. I have to get help. She thought faintly. Her next paw-step slipped, and she fell into the icy drifts, weakly shivering. Through half-closed eyes, she stared up through the bare arms of the trees. The sky was dark and clouded, the claw-like moon half covered. Like I said, i was completely willing to let her work on it in her own time, and i'm pretty sure most people understood it was a joke. also your gonna really bother people by replying to their over-a-year-old comments. I'm pretty sure the artist is capable with dealing with people themself, and if they didn't mind for a year, I don't see why you should butt in.

Well, the Deviantart guidelines says you must always be respectful in comments no matter how old it is, even if it's a joke. Plus, i'm sure not ALL the people would know it was a joke. That is why i said, 'Please give an explanation that it was a joke next time so people will know and not yell at and/or reply to you about it'. I read what u said, i said it in my past comment.

Oh right right, it's not like I've actually been looking through DeviantArt since 2012. Made an account in 2014 and just recently restarted it two months ago. Excuse me for not talking my time to type and re read a meaningless response online while I had an actual essay to do.
And, if I may add, I was pissed off about other people just brushing off this page as 'edgy'. So I voiced my opinion about how stupid and brainless it is to repeat something that has already been stated 487593 times on the same piece.
So, when I comment about other people wasting their time on commenting 'edgy' on a post, I'm in the wrong when you're telling me I'm wasting my time for defending River's work as not edgy. Alrighty.

joke that even river HERSELF made in the description! honestly, i don't really
care how long you've been on here? you basically just added to the problem of
people 'commenting on this and calling it edgy' by bringing the problem up again!
you were a day or two late, by that time, a majority of the comments about river being edgy
in this page weren't even viewable anymore. you had to take your time to actually click the 'next'
button to view the next page of comments to see all of the "oh river! you're so edgy!" comments.

I get the feeling that river possibly went to the other clans for help, but due to it being leaf-bare (At least that's what i believe, seeing as there's snow) the other clans refused to help, seeing as leaf-bare makes it harder to catch prey. So the other clans believed taking in river would just make more mouths to feed.
