Description
Someone asked if I'd also draw my mom, and I thought I'd go ahead and draw my parents together.

Fun thing about my family: if you get a little moon-beamy, each of us has a different energy. My dad is Wind, balancing my Mom's Earth. My brother is Fire, while Mom always said I'm Water.

Everyone has a mix of these, but there's a core element to each of our personalities. Mom's definitely the strongest, most stubborn person in our family. She could get a little tightly wound though, which is where my Dad always came in. He definitely has a carefree energy, and whenever Mom started stressing herself out, he'd sit her down and make sure she relaxed.

She told me about a time like that when they were first together. She was in a rage from the dishes and laundry and my eldest brother Ryan (my Dad's son) had just moved in, so teenage him was making a mess, but Dad managed to sit her down and say, "what do you absolutely have to do today?" Which she admitted was really just the laundry, and he went, "okay! Then do that, and since you have free time, we can watch Lonesome Dove!"

Other times, it was Mom keeping Dad on track, because he had a tendency to procrastinate or not take care of the simple things. They're really great for each other.
