Description Crappy tourist shot #1 of seventy million. XD

There was no artistic way of photographing this sucker. The plaza in front of it was packed like marshmallow peeps in a slightly microwaved delux easter basket.

I did get to see it chime on the hour and watch all the little medieval automaton saints move around and the skeleton ring the bell and the various earthly vanities do their thing, which was awesome. There was a wedding going on at the same time with bursts of confetti everywhere. So cute! >w<

Oh come on, there are many ways how to take artistic photos of Orloj
Believe me, I live in Prague You just have to know when and where to be to get "the Shot" ;D
But I understand it's hard for a tourist to realize that with limited time

XD yes, well if you live there it's obviously a whole different story. Theoretically you could camp out for days with a tripod and wait for the prefect lighting and composition with no people around. I wish I'd had that kind of time and equipment. ;_;
You're a lucky duck, living in such a lovely city.

Thats true. Or I am just a different kind of tourist I tend to go to every place in the early morning to get some "lonely" pictures, it usually works for me
Oh yeah, thanks, I consider myself lucky to live here, too

Yes... having four days of constant planned school tours doesn't allow much time for that sort of thing. It doesn't do a city justice at all. *sigh* Luckily I can devote that sort of attention to photography in Vienna, as I have four months here.

Oh Vienna, after Prague the city of my heart! Have been there few times already, loved it there
But due to lack of money it will take me a long time until I will have the chance to go there again, have to say I miss the atmosphere. It's somehow similar to Prague, but still a bit different
Last year I got some of my best photographs there, I was lucky to get a nice weather with atmospheric clouds Soon I'll move them to this account from my old one

The Orloj is the famous astrological clock in Prague, in the Czech Republic. When the clock chimes, there are mechanical figures that move and turn and such. It's pretty sweet!
