30 Day Retrosaur Challenge part 16 - Short-Tailed Sea Tyrant
Its fossils discovered by chance by an ocean submersible collecting soil samples, Ahabotherium (meaning ‘Ahab’s beast’) is an aquatic retrosaur that would dive to the ocean depths in order to prey upon the giant squid species that lived there. Many would receive scars from their fights with the giant cephalopods.
Some believe that this retrosaur still exists in the dark depths of the ocean, and some swear they saw them. Funnily enough this is also a story told by present day giant squids, on particularly spooky nights in the abyss.
