*Sighs* Oh Knuckles what has time done to you? If you don't know where I'm getting at here, Sonic Boom decided it was a good idea to completely flanderize Knuckles to his absolute worst! As if the Sonic series wasn't treating him bad enough. Why is it nowadays companies feel as if being a dumbass is Knuckles trademark?They seem to have comparison issues with thinking being naive is being a dumbass. Sega, Big Red Button Being naive is not an excuse to make Knuckles a dumbass! Seriously, in Sonic Boom games and comics he's almost as stupid as Big the Cat.
In the first throughout the game the reference how much he likes breaking things. "WARRRRRR KUAHKLESS SMASH!!!!" So now he's a stereotypical dumbfuck who smashes things, to add more insult to injury in the first scene of Rise of Lyric Knuckles is literally seen trying to decide between right and left! Yes people KNUCKLES DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT RIGHT OR LEFT IS! How insulting is it to see a badass character being used like this? What's he gonna do next learn how the Alphabet works? -.- He's even seen revealing the location to Sonic and Tails when its obvious the enemy locating them wants to kill them. -.-
Also the amount of abuse they play off with Knuckles being stupid just angers me, all the characters literally use him as a comedic punching bag. However Sonic Boom takes the issues already wrong with Knuckles and makes it worse, in the comics even Amy is said to be constantly getting Knuckles to catch up on the outtake for being so slow at understanding.
This also contradicts what was suppose to happen, he was suppose to be big to show his strength, but instead he's just a hybrid of the Hulk smashing things and Modern Patrick Star from Spongebob. -.-
On top of that, why nowadays is he always being abused or insulted by someone because of his flanderized stupidity? Knuckles use to be so cool with his distant nature, and had a cool attitude, now he's just a tough dumbass who breaks things!!!
Knuckles has been like this since after Shadow the Hedgehog, but now Sonic Boom only flanderized it to extremes.
I officially consider Sonic Boom Knuckles as one of my worst characters now, just because of how badly they hurt and ruined his character.
Knuckles dialogue in any version of Sonic Boom is so cringe worthy!
This is all I have to say, I'll upload one more stamp, and don't worry I have sprites and my fan character stuff coming, I just need to get unrusted.
Anyways I'm done, give me your thoughts.

They just screwed up Knuckles. I thought that Knuckles AND Amy would be archaeologists. Well, I thought Knuckles would teach her what he knows about ancient ruins, but no. The show and the game just HAD to make her the archaeologist. Sigh. -_-

I don't know Sonic boom, but I find Knuckles' tall bodybuilder new look atrocious. Is another guy, no more the Knuckles I liked when in the 90's I played those old fantastic games on Sega Megadrive, or later Sonic Adventure etc.

I used to be really obsessed with Knuckles (not in a fangirl way though) and when I first saw the teaser for Sonic Boom I actually had a mental breakdown. It bugged me how they were already making him stupid but like what even is this?? Don't get me started on Lippies V.3 though . . .

I don't like Sonic Boom at all. Why? They've ruined
everything for Sonic and friends. These are NOT
the Sonic characters I know. Even worse, they
make Knuckles so tall and stupid. That is one
of the worst series I have ever seen. I don't
like SonicxAmy together either. Obviously Amy
is super annoying. She's 12 years old and she
thinks she's mature enough. Ain't that cute?

The reason I don't like Sonic Boom is because the show has absolutely no substance. The only thing the show does is tell jokes and excepts no other areas of quality but the jokes. It's all about the jokes with the show. The only thing the show cares to do is force jokes and comedy, while have the substances, character development or any sense of logic fall in the background. The main issues are they choose jokes and things centered around those jokes or fan service and have no thought into anything else. Every plot they do is a predictable plot.
Basically the appeal just comes from if the jokes can make you laugh ignoring everything else.
Take for example the law enforcement and townspeople. They're often assholes or just plain stupid in all of their appearances and stuff they do make no sense. The Town would be better off ran by Knuckles. The plots are often predictable with stereotypes thrown in. And the characters are honestly the worse art of Sonic Boom, especially the character development which is non-existent. They reuse the same boring locations every episode. In fact here's a description of every character that are nothing but cliches and one-note stereotypes.
Sonic- Is the Typical Justice Hero. For instance someone can randomly appear and if they have some sort of negative trait he’s the “typical hero” who’s all like he isn’t who he says he is. Plus he the "status quo gotta save the day" He also is a complete jerkish asshole stereotype. In a lot of episodes Sonic is often an unlikable asshole to his friends (particularly Amy) like in *Fuzzy Puppy Buddies* he and the res of the characters make fun of Amy for something a girl would normally do. Or in Designated Hero he berates his friends for losing to Eggman. He also seem to have the "cool jerk guy" stereotype with a street cred attitude as well.
Tails- Tails is the stereotypical nerd. Yes, while Tails was the "nerdy engineer" guy he had other traits to balance it out. Like his lack of confidence issues and self doubt. Plus when his "I'm the smart one" personality played out it had more of a point and his invents weren't his entire character. (Not counting Free Riders onward in modern games) In Sonic Boom is genius personality is only there just to tell you he is the smart one, it's more front and center and has it be the only thing about him. Too add more to this Tails’ inventions are constantly given absurd names like the name of the object with some techy sounding word behind it, y’know like every single genius cliche? In the main series his inventions don’t have stupid names. Yes Tails was always like this, but Sonic Boom tries making it too obvious to the point where they make it his only thing. Giving him all the cliches in the process. He's also an asshole when the plot demands it too.
Amy-This version of Amy is very overrated. Many people say she's better than the original Amy, which tbh Boom Amy is no better than regular Amy for these reasons. Honestly Amy's my least favorite character in the Sonic Boom universe. Her character personality is SOO inconsistent. There’s nothing to her character because her character changes in every episode. In every episode her character is a different personality (mainly of stereotypes), so basically she has no define characteristics of her own, she’s whatever the episode makes her. And when she’s not being consistently changed her main personality trait is being a "Oh hey everyone I'm the girl!" stereotype, with her girly aspect being overemphasized by having her squeals or overusing her feminism ordeals. And she's often given negative personality traits too, which contradict any other personality she goes through. She also is a shallow person by having episodes where she falls for every guy she sees, yet she's suppose to love Sonic, she's often very conceited and snobbish in the later episodes And even a blunt control freak. She often times thinks she’s better than others and talks down to them. Yet she's suppose to be an activist, self proclaimed therapist and mediator, but will fly into an easy rage on top of that? She can't be mature and immature at the same time. Pretty much any likable trait she gets that can make her likable either is not developed or just used as a generic stereotype. Most of the time her personality amounts to just being the definition of the typical girl. Hell when she gets angry her temper is even rivaled to her main series counterpart. I still can't figure out what kind of character she's suppose to be, because the writers can't seem to make up their minds about her.
Sticks- Her entire character is based around one attribute of being a "conspiritard". Her character writes itself and none of the jokes around her are that funny at all. "My breakfast is plotting to kill me". She’s just a stereotypical paranoid jungle girl who’s crazy because of her unfitting settings toward real civilization. Basically since she’s use to the jungle she’s prone to panic and paranoia. This trope is used in literally every “character goes insane after detached from reality stereotype. For example she’s one of those cliches in adventurer films where she grows to just be cooky and crazy because she’s away from the real world and in a place with different rules for too long. Her dialogue consist of spewing out things related to her paranoia or just being random for the sake of a joke. Her character amounts to “She’s lived in the jungle for some long she’s crazy, but now lives in a civilized world. She's a survivalist gone crazy cliche.
Knuckles- He suffers the same issues as Tails in which the show puts way too much emphasis on his stupidity. I want to state his stupidity is not funny in the slightest. Yes Knuckles does get a funny line or too. But outside of that his character is the literal "muscle bound, no brained" dumbass cliche literally used in almost every single cartoon ever! His character mostly just consist of doing nothing but to have the show make jokes about how stupid he is and making him as incompetent as possible. The writers don’t get the fact Knuckles trait of “being easily tricked” isn’t stupidity. Just being told he's stupid is not funny unless the stupidity has boundaries. Boom Knuckles does not. The show literally goes all out and has Knuckles be as incompetent as possible by having his stupidity amount to things like he can’t read, count, understand the most basic of things. Something even a mere child at age 5 can learn how to do. But Knuckles is literally so stupid he can’t even do basic life things. In one episode he can’t even open a door properly because the show wants to show us he’s stupid. Oh and if he’s not being pain stakingly stupid he’s being an egotistical asshole. Knuckles also has a huge ego where he imagines himself as better and the smart one compared to Sonic. While Sonic in his eyes is the stupid and incompetent one. In one episode he literally fantasizes about Sonic being his level of stupidity. And this ego is in a few episodes. Sonic and Amy also do this too. Yeah totally not an asshole there.
Eggman- He's the only saving grace this show has imo. He's funny, has the best lines and is generally the most pleasant one to watch. Honestly he makes all the jokes this show throws out, he's the only likable character imo.
Sonamy is basically empty in Sonic Boom. The pairing is just forced into plots for fan service. Sonic nor Amy have no chemistry and only small hints are thrown in to remember the show needs a bit of fan service. There's no reason why they like each other, they just do because of fan service.

Well it's really only a few, I mostly just ripped the characters apart. I would've said the same about the supporting characters too, y'know the townspeople? But I didn't want to write a bigger novel. lol Plus every single one of them are stereotypes and aren't that funny. The only likable background characters are Dave The Intern and Comedy Chip, and that's because the admittedly have funny lines. And for the shows credit when it does the comedy right it can be pretty good. But that's really only because the jokes work in the episode they're doing. I'll be fair and say the episode "The Meteor" is probably their best episode by far. It uses a nice plot with some good comedy.
A couple of other reasons I failed to mention of why I think it's bad is "They put the characters in roles/episode plots that don't fit them" this ties into Amy's constant inconsistent personality where she changes every episode because the writers change her to fit roles in which they should use other characters for instead of using those plots to fit her own personality. The only background characters they used seem to be one-offs or bland. Like Tails' "love interest" has zero personality, yet there's a cliche plot of "nerd falls for pretty girl" with Tails and Zooey.
And whenever they make new characters never seen instead of making new designs they take models of already existing characters and just add a hat or glasses to say it's a new character. A perfect example of this would be in my opinion the show's worst episode "Counterproductive" which is Sonic Boom's version of a Modern Spongebob plot where Squidward is unfairly tormented also showcase Knuckles at his worst.
As for being more serious. Well I would't say they need to be more series, just more consistent and have their own sense of identity. See when Sonic takes itself too seriously it tends to be a laughing stock, Sonic needs his own theme. Having it be at the same kid demographic, but have the story be a center piece for the game and have the characters have personality in contrast, I'd make everything flow a lot better instead of how they're treated in these modern games for cheap laughs.

Well it does happen (not often) with people figuring your left and right sometimes, its because it happens all in your brain what you doing or thinking, it can happen here and then but anyways my opinion of knuckles is his my favourite sonic character and I think sonic boom knuckles is great but Saga should've made him a little smart (not like on purpose stupid)

The main issue is that Knuckles not knowing his left from right was just there to show how stupid he was, not because he was misguided or had trouble doing it. It was to force in a "Knuckles is stupid" joke. Which is also why he had fingered gloves.
