Hi!
Well, guess all I can say is I’m sorry to hear that :/ But I’d really like to clear some things up, ok?
First of all, I do not post my work at DA searching to please people. That’s not my duty at all and drawing pokemon is a hobby of mine. I’m not involved in any kind of official pokemon game, so I can't see the problem of people not liking my work. Not even Jesus pleased everyone, how can I, right?
Secondly, DA is a place where I post my work for fun, to show it to my friends and see what they think about it, even if they don't like it. But I think “I hate it” is a really disrespectful and strong thing to say about a drawing, considering you do not know me and don’t know how much effort and thought I put into it.
And third, as we are talking about art, next time please try to make actual criticism and give constructive tips to the artist is question, so he or she will do ‘better’ next time! Just a tip, of course
And referring to when you said it looked I didn't try hard enough, you could’ve at least read the description and found out I said that those were one of my oldest designs ever. I must’ve drawn them at least 20 times.
So, sorry, my intention was not to be rude and I hope neither was yours!
But as I said, just clearing things up for the next time you’re planning on commenting here.
Hope you'll like my future work!

Well well long reply there! Okay here I go.. First of all, I didn't ever mention that you have to do this for an actual game or for anything like that, so why did you bring it up? Second, I think I can say I hate it whenever I want, even though it is a strong word to say, because I really hate it. This is because I was really disappointed by you because I simply expected more from you (which you obviously don't care about, and I don't care about that you don't care about what I think.. follow me? so no need to telling me that) Okay now for the third part of criticism, I'm sorry I didn't do that. I know it's a really bad thing not do that, so I'll just make sure to do it anyway, because I DID totally forget, cuz I do give criticism (even though my work isn't as good either, so no need to telling me that either). So what I don't like about your art, and why I said I hated it (which I partially already explained), is the lineart. If you look at work you have submitted before, the lineart looks quite harsh, not natural, not as smooth. This is probably because it's the same thickness in every spot, where you didn't have that in your other deviations.Then, I don't like the overall design. This is probably just subjective, but I think it's way to simple (No telling me there are many nice but simple designs, like ditto, that are loved too) and I don't like the design itself (the headpuff, the wings, especially the legs look very off to me. Next I believe you didn't make the deviation as serious as previous entries, as you, for example, didn't shade the inside of the ears and mouth, and didn't give the nose any holes (dunno the real name for those, and if that was your intention, excuse me!) Finally, there's the pose. I think you are one of the best pose-makers (w/e you call it) there are. I really think that you give fakemon their best poses, and I can see that in every single submission, except this one. I think you did a sloppy job on the pose, and with that I hope I have given you enough criticism (even though it's not constructive I guess)
I REAAALLLYYYY REALLLLYYY REALLLLY HOPE VERY MUCH that you don't find my reply upsetting in any way, that wasn't my intention!, because I do really look up to you, you're one of the beste fakemon makers, but it was just something I didn't expect of you.

Well, again you're missing my point. I didn't say YOU said I was part of an actual game.
But the way you got upset (which is clearly obvious by this completely unnecessarily huge reply) somehow made it look like was Sugimori himself and got a drawing look bad.
It is not official, I am NOT a professional designer, I don't do vectorial drawings, I'm 17 years old, so I can't see why I've to keep up with your expectations.
And again, you don't know me, so you can NOT say how much effort and thought I put into this.

And yes, I did get upset. I got negative comments by many people here in DA, but "I hated it" with no constructive tips at all was ridiculous. Especially because you don't make use of the drawing and shading in sugi's style.
I saw you're drawings and if I commented on one I didn't like, I would definetely take in consideration you're feelings and the work you put into it, so I'd say something like "well.. I don't like it so much, it's a nice idea, though! you could do this and that blablabla"

Please do not take this reply bad and write another long reply, I really don't wanna start an arguement
And my point is: yes, you can say whatever you want whenever you want, it's a free country. But I just asked nicely that, when talking bout my work, if don't have anything good or constructive to say, just don't say anything at all.
