Richard von Hofmann is a Weisslander Schütze from the Schwarzenburg Reich Heer.
Richard was born and raised in a village on a middle class family. His father worked as a farmer and his mother as a swineherd, giving him experience about the life in the fields and to what he will do in the future. After he finished the school he moved to the city to find a work, and after a few years he saved money and bought the farm which his parents owned, then he started his life as a farmer, and married a woman which gave birth to 3 children.

When the Empire joined the Guadus-Serandi war, he left his family and joined the imperial army as a Stadtschütze. He participated the Ihoth campaign and Serandi campaign. During the Ihoth campaign, because of his performance on combat, he was promoted to Obergefreiter, and after the Serandi campaign he was promoted to Unteroffizier.

During one mission on Ihoth campaign, Richard was sent to the Frondorf vilage to defend it from the Serandi troops pushback. Richard was hit by a rifle bullet on the spleen, which made him bleed until get unconscious. Because the field medics manage to save him, Richard was sent to the frontline hospital and after 2 weeks, he returned to the battlefield.

In the Serandi campaign, he met the best sniper from the Empire, Erik von Bergmann which become his best friend. What are the chances of you meet a war hero? And become his friend? Yeah, Richard was very luck.

When the war ended, Richard returned to his family in Weissland, and they got proud and honored, because he become a war hero. Richard had a good life after returning home, but his happiness were not so high, because he met Erik von Bergmann and he disappeared without a trace. Richard wished he could see his friend again.
