Description This time I tried out oil paints. I must say, all those toxic fumes did make me feel like a true painter

I like how certain sections of this piece came out, especially the top left and bottom left sections. I found oil paints to blend more smoothly than acrylic paints. I named this piece infection because i felt the red all over was an infection plaguing the surface.

I'm very fond of this kind of abstract expressionism. I'm not much of a traditional artist and often use photographs of 'found' abstract expressionism as a starting point. 'The Mysteries Of Life No.85 Where Did We Come From?' certainly started out that way.

I was wondering why that was categorised under photography! You must have found a lot of interesting stuff like that.

The East Croydon mail sorting office ground floor windowsill alone must have spawned a couple of dozen works, of which these are less than half [link] and the yellow painted steel guard posts at the delivery entrance to our corner convenience store provided a few dozen more [link] of which these are probably not all.

Beautiful work - I agree that the left side is beautiful as though it's closing in...

I expect it was unintentional but I can see a lady in a red dress on the right

Watching you.

A lady in a red dress, interesting. I always like it when other people see unexpected things in my abstract pieces!

Every time in the past when I attempted oil paintings i grew frustrated and gave up. I think starting off with abstract is a great way to get friendly with a medium and understanding how it works. Thanks for the Llama and the watch! It's really appreciated

Of course abstract always helps - ever played the game where you start with a scribble and have to make it in to something? Makes it so much easier to think of creative things to draw.
