Description
The Ford Model 48 was a streamlined Ford V8 car built from 1935 to 1936 with over 800,000 cars sold in its first year, which put Ford ahead of perpetual rival Chevrolet. This 1936 woody wagon, which would not look out of place on the beach, was exhibited at a classic car and hot rod show at the Pomona Fairplex near Los Angeles, California. The next year, the 1937 Ford came out looking even more streamlined, though the woodie remained in production until all-steel station wagons became the norm.
