Description
Last December, while visiting the Eastern Shore of Virginia, my parents saw this old diesel locomotive, which was parked in a siding and missing its rear bogie. It is Bay Coast Railroad EMD GP10 No. 2001, which is still wearing its old Eastern Shore Railroad livery and is apparently being stripped for parts to keep the short line's other Geeps running.Related content

Welp...at least 3 "Paducah" Geeps have been preserved. A GP-11 is sitting on static display in Carbondale, IL; a GP-11 is restored and running at the Monticello Railway Museum, and a GP-8 has recently been repainted in ICG Orange & White and is running at the Bluegrass Railway Museum.
