Description
In 2003, Afghan insurgents destroyed a Canadian Army Bombardier Iltis truck, killing two soldiers while Master Corporal Dan Matthews survived unhurt and the Canadian flag pennant was undamaged. A picture of Matthews at his comrade's funeral and the pennant he brought home to remember the attack are displayed together at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa.
