This weekend, Thomas the Tank Engine went from the Island of Sodor to the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Museum to meet his American fans. Well, it's not quite Thomas himself; it's a non-operating replica. But it does look the most like him of any Thomas I've seen at a "Day Out with Thomas" festival, with only the American-style knuckle coupler looking out of place. Baltimore is Thomas's most recent stop on his tour around the country, and thousands of families came to see the world's most famous (fictional) steam engine.Related content

I remember seeing this guy in 2001 (when I was 9). Oddly enough, that was the only DOWT event I ever went to.
