Description From the walls on the other side of the city, Conwy Castle looks as imposing as it did when it was completed in 1289.  Look closely at the towers and ramparts to see how small the visitors are compared to the castle.  King Edward I "Longshanks" would be glad to see his castle still stands today, the Welsh rebels less so, though the Welsh would be happier than the English to see the Red Dragon flag flying instead of Saint George's Cross.
