Description
Mono Lake (pronounced "MO-NO" not "MON-O" like the sickness) Sunset on 5/17/2009. When I left home with the forecast, I expected something really spectacular. When I got there, the clouds were hardly in existence. Then the sun set and the clouds that were there lit up beautifully!!!©ShutterMeShort Photography All rights reserved. Mind tellin' me where this lake Mono is? For it is quite a beautiful place if this picture is at all accurate!

it is actually very accurate. I shoot in raw so the photo in camera is drab and boring and requires much photoshop. I used a total of 5 filters to get the exposure and colors the way they are. The lake is VERY stunning in person and this shot is taken at the "South Tufa" location. If you go to google.com and search the other pictures for "Mono Lake California"you will find that they are similar. While there you can find the location as well! I hope you get to make a trip to see it!
