Description The new image as promised

The blade is some sort of tool steel (really hard) so I left heat treating colors in to the surface.
The handle is made โ€‹โ€‹of birch blaze, front fitting is tagua nut.

you may want to put some kind of clear coat on the blade, the coloring from the heat treating wears away VERY quickly, and just a dab of an (vinegar, lemon juice) will eat it away (learned the hard way)

Hi
In my last 12 years as metal worker and knife maker I know how these things will look like after just few weeks of use. I left the heat treatment colors in just becaus I can. This knife was sold few years back and the new owner was very fond of it. Now days the color almost all gone but he is still very happy about it. Because it still cuts like it was brand new.

That's all

This is a really gorgeous implementation of the basic Scandinavian knife design. Does it have a sheath yet? I see the very talented Half-Goat is aware of it, perhaps he could construct something appropriate if not.

Hi!
I made a sheathfor it and sold it few years back to hunter how has been usind it for almost everything. The costumer is stil as happy about it as the day he got it.

Unfortunately I do not have a picture of a sheath but it was just brown leather with blackadder pattern.

Blade cross section is almost hollow ground close to the handle, but otherwise Diamond shaped.
