Before & After.

I filled in the grout lines in between the wood 'bricks' of the model Rook. I used drywall mud that's normally used for filling sheetrock seams. It's not as hard and solid as regular plaster and easier to sand. I used files and sanded at the white filler until the grout lines looked good. Because it's softer than the wood I wasn't going to gouge the wood while sanding, but a couple nicks here and there are part of the overall distressed look so it came out really nice.

This is going to be incorporated into a larger Fantasy Storybook miniature diorama so even though it's ready to paint I'll wait until more is built rather than try to re-match colors later.
