Description Nikon Coolpix 4600
Paint Shop Pro 8 frame

My mother lives on a relatively high hill. Leaving her house last week in the early evening I noticed the angle of the setting sun was perfectly aligned with the back of her daylilys. The effect was a magnificent glow. This photo barely does it justice.

I almost did but then I decided I liked the contrasting shadows too much to leave them off.

You know, since I started taking so many photos I've gone back to a way of looking at the world I haven't experienced since I was young. I literally see more now. The photos are easy to take. I have zero photographic knowledge, I just know what I like and I point and shoot. I don't really take photos...I find them.

Thanks. It was a little hair raising because I couldn't get the composition just right and the sun was sinking all the while. Glad I was able to capture it.
