Description
We first met the Urkradach in 554 G.A. (Galactic Age), Until then, we had found no trace of other sentient species and had settled on numerous planets... virtually unopposed. We were rather advanced by then, we had mastered FTL travel, terraforming and other technologies...

But against the Urkradach, we were more or less helpless anyway.

We had first contact with them on Agamemnon, a mineral-rich world we intended to mine. Apparently, the Urks (as we came to call them), had the same idea, and they weren't to happy to see us. The entire exploration team of 500 women and men - scientists, miners and a detachment of soldiers - was wiped out almost to a man.

Fortunately, if one can say that we were fortunate in this desaster, there were holographic recordings of the attacker. We saw our enemy...

They were all very tall (2 - 2.50 meters), clad in suits of armour, all wielding massive rifles with what seemed like a dual ammo feed. We couldn't see more than that though. We only saw that.. and their ruthless, even cruel, attack. They made no distinction between civilians and soldiers... It is still chilling to the bone, even after all those years.

But what we didn't know then: That one act of merciless slaughter was only the beginning.

More curvy.. this time with a story (or an attempt at one). I plan to expand the story further, so feedback on it would be most welcome!
