Description
The closest thing to a clean portrait shot I got of the North China leopards at the Jardin des Plants in Paris. Battled reflections and dirty glass for two days and came away with only a handful of unaffected shots.

This is a great animal portrait, the focusing is razor sharp (and in the right place!) and the lighting sets the mood of the image. If you had not said so I would not be able to tell that the image was taken from behind glass.

Guess I'm just all about being forthright with my pictures. I should probably stop that...kinda ruins the effect sometimes.

Nothing wrong with being honest about the process you went through to take the picture... Taking a photo from behind glass is hard to pull off well, clearly you've put in quite a bit of effort and it has paid off... in my mind's eye I can imagine you taking a bottle of window polish and a cloth to clean up the glass

Hehe. It's a rough process sometimes. The real difficulty is that you can't take the glass cleaner to the inside surface of the glass. And the real real difficulty with photographing these guys was that because you're not allowed within 5 feet of the glass, the reflections were atrocious.
