Description Here's my latest revision of my Helen Noel model. Has any one hair set elicited so much activity on a given character??! Myochka's started a storm! Anyway, I've tweaked the face further and also modified the transparency map on the skirt to make it more accurate to Helen Noel's.... less-than-modest attire Thanks to ~drell7 for the great viewscreen image! Uniform boots are from Pretty3D's "Gratification". And of course uniform texture is from James JAB, briefing room is courtesy of Ptrope, and hair is by Mylochka. Thanks folks!!!

Helen Noel was extremely delicious in that episode of Star Trek TOS. I don't know why they didn't make a spin off series just about her getting into perilous situations. If only I had a time machine.

I think I am going to have to try and make that one - could you be kind and provide me with the link to where you got the Star Trek TOS uniform, please? I am definitely going to have to embark on a TOS project in 2012. Might be nice to collaborate in some way, if you're interested?

By the way, I am assuming that you've seen Chonastock's Star Trek TOS photo shoots? The second one was a commission for me.

Here's the texture set I used for my Helen Noel (et al): [link]

Not sure about the collaboration thing at the moment. I'm kind of in a solo phase at the moment.

Love those Chonastock TOS shoots. She really does a great job and makes for the sexiest Andorian ever!

Looks great (less filling)!

One other thing about Ms. Noël's uniform that I've noticed, which sets it apart, is that in the various still shots, it appears to almost be a top and skirt sewn together - there looks to be a seam at her waist. I've been including the "tunic into sash" morph to add a waistline to her dress.

Nice lighting, too!

Thanks man!

Yeah, good observation. She sure did have a very "fitted" waist. Mmmm.....

Whoa-ho-ho! Original Star Trek ladies in uniform...

*wolf-whistles*

I always loved the Original Star Trek. And the ladies. Proof RIGHT HERE.

Interesting. I would have said the skirt was maybe too short and the heals too high but the links show that to be definantly not true. No wonder my teenage hormones loved this character so much.

This looks great, although I like the expression from the first image best. It would be cool to see some images that copy some of her best poses/expressions from the show(from link #1). Thanks again for sharing this fun blast from the past

Yup....she sure was a solid teenage memory of mine, too Glad you've been enjoying the project! Thanks!

Hm, I don't really like that you shortened the skirt further (Noel's wearing standard issue), and the boots have ridiculous heels, but the character and everything look great.

Technically, yes, she was wearing "standard issue", but a quick Google search will show that the actress was outfitted with a particularly short garment (but design or just wardrobe draw):

As to the boots, you may be right, but I'm still looking for a good reference. I made the change on my wife's recollection. She thought my 1.0 heels were too short, but I think they were closer than these are. I'm sure I'll switch 'em out again in 3.0.

The Starfleet heels were about two inches high.
Not more.
Fact is that all boots in Star Trek were the same black leather uni-sex boots.
For 3D stuff I use the boots from the Courageous package.
Since you use the textures for that, I think you also have the boots.

RobCaswell In reply to Colonel-Azzameen [2010-08-06 11:31:12 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I used the Courageous boots in v1.0. I think I'll go back to them. They aren't perfect, but they're close.... unless I stumble on a better match.

If you happen to stumble over a better match, tell me.
I'm currently watching Dagger of the Mind to see what kind of boots she's wearing.
Ah, got it.

That shot should help.
Two inch heel, about an inch wide.

I didn't really find any better match in my runtime, so I fell back on Courageous again with v.3. Thanks for doing some research!

Ah, I'm doing some TOS shots myself and am constantly looking for upgrades, better fitting clothing, better textures, new props and environments, etc.
And you're welcome.
