These comics are becoming more difficult for me to read.

That looks like an awesome way to play chess. A new adventure each game.

How do you mean? Is it a format issue (because I'm always interested in feedback on how these things are showing up on other computers)? Font too small?

I'm on a 1650x1050 resolution with my 21-23 inch monitor. My head is about 43 inches away from the monitor. So the letters are appearing to be really small. I'd have to kiss up to the monitor a bit. Being close up to a monitor of that size can't be healthy.

Oliver is always letting his epic sense of epicness run away with him! XD

I love your portrayal of the black and white, and though the red seems appropriate to the scene, I have to wonder why he got out the checker board for the chess game!

Heheh, I like the idea, even if I never read that short story. I do want to learn how to play Chess one day.

Thanks for the swell share.

Chess is one of those games that's easy to learn, but hard to master.

In the past, I was worried about learning for fear of being "tossed in." Using video games for an example, I didn't want to just be given a controller, with no knowledge on how to play, and be expected to be an intermediate player in 5 minutes time (some have actually done that in the past, and my saving grace is that I'm a quick learner).

These days, though, I do want to fully learn, whether I'm given a legit lesson or seen as a "free win."

I think Yahoo chess is pretty helpful to familiarize oneself with how pieces move, the rules of the game, how to read ahead several moves and to develop personal strategies before one takes the battles to the board itself. I don't mind overly strong opponents, in video games or chess or even Scrabble, you are exposed to more strategies and become a better player faster.

Ah, that is quite true. In the wrong game, though, or with the wrong people, you get better in an "incomplete" way sometimes, missing basics or tactics that can help you to further improve.

Still, I think I'll try and learn someday.
