Here's a piece I did for the November Issue of PLAY (on stands now!!) its on PG 30, its a feature about the Video Game Critters of yesteryear and where they are or perhaps aren't today. There's 33 total here, plus 9 consoles and I don't know how many games. This.. was... FUN. lol I actually finished it on 42 hrs of no sleep straight and then went right to Long Beach Con.. boy was I toasted that night lolArt and Colors by Me

Spyro's in skylanders, rayman has a reboot series going on, buck bumble didn't warrant enough financial success to get a sequel, bubsy was terrible, earthworm JimΒ never made it past game 3, starfox is returning on the wii u, blinx was an unsuccessful franchise like bubsy, the rabids got a show, spot stopped being 7ups mascot, Klonoa, heady and ristar were scrapped by their developers, sackboy's still going strong, sonic hasn't gone anywhere and wont beΒ anytime soon, okami's developers shut down and became platinum,Β ratchet and clank are getting a movie and sly is getting a fifth game and a movie!Β That is where the critters have gone.

Crash Bandicoot: He has recently got an HD remaster of the classic PS1 games on the PS4.
Spyro: He should have the same with Crash because Skylanders butchered him (I respect your opinion if you like Skylanders).
Blinx:Β Unfortunately on December 26th, 2014 (which was 10 years after the second Blinx game came out), Microsoft has abandoned the Blinx trademark, indicating that they will not be doing another Blinx sequel. Man this sucks, and Artoon (the Japanese game developer that made the game and it's sequel) absorbed into parent company AQ Interactive (along with feelplus and Cavia) in 2010, and in that same year, Naoto Ohshima (the founder of Artoon and also the creator of Blinx) along with the other Artoon key members have left to form Arzest. Now it should be possible that Ohshima along with his key members at Arzest purchase the Blinx trademark in order to revive the franchise.ο»Ώ
Klonoa: I've heard he's getting an anime.
Bubsy: Since June 2017, Bubsy is getting a fifth title called The Woolies Strike Back, now I don't have anything against Bubsy. I'm only against Bubsy 3D, which is considered as one of the worst games ever made.

It's because I can see that Aero the Acrobat, Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel and Clayman from Skullmonkeys are missing. Maybe their games weren't so popular as others.
