Description I used Watercolor on Illustration board this year. The still life is composed of gifts we’ve received as well as some things we’ve gathered ourselves.
Our friend Kathy gave me the snowman cookie jar a few years ago. He featured in the 2010 Christmas card too! I enjoy painting him, he’s a great subject.
Leann baked the cookies! The oatmeal cookies were gone , these are peanut butter with chocolate and peanut butter chips!! So yummy!!!
The Forbes Family, Jeff, Kellie and Olesya gifted us some Amazing peppermint Hot Cocoa mix with two penguin cups, one of which you see!
The Christmas teapot, behind the cup of cocoa, was a gift several years ago from my sister Dee.
The green platter the cookies are on, my Mom gave me, I think she got it from aunty Rose.
I bought the Holly, live last year, its actually growing some, and bloomed! It still resides in the kitchen window. There is one berry turning red on one of the stalks though the berries used for the card are fake…
Steve gave me the roses at Thanksgiving, I pretty much obscured them with the greeting, Oh well, I didn’t do them justice to be honest…
The tablecloth I got at People Helping People, the local secondhand store.
In with the Holly and Roses, there is some fake greenery as well as the fake poinsettias between the teapot and cocoa.
Steve came home with the three glass ornaments a few years ago, I love the way
they reflect, great fun to paint without having to worry about much detail!
