this makes me think of how a murderer of woman look at their pray before/after they kill them. seeing them as beautiful even though they're maimed. It looks like blood to me. though I'm thinking it may be meant a blanket.

Yes thats the beauty about oil paint, you can really slop some nice big dollops of paint on there.
I can't really say how long it takes me to paint one piece, because I normally work on various pieces at the one time which prevents me from overworking a painting. Ill work on a painting up until I think its just about finished.

youre welcome, i hadn't thought about it that way, but it makes a lot of sense, if i work too long on a piece, finishing it does begin to feel like a chore
