This was shot on the same evening as the other Day Glow. but composed a little differently to get color of the clouds. After the glow left the clouds I zoomed in a little and that resulted in the other photo.

Ideed. One thing I do like about the fall, is we get a little rain and it really clears the dust and smog from the sky. Let's through that clear sun and coloring at times like this.

Ever since I learned that long exposure was possible, I've fascinated with the technique. Some of the most beautiful photos result, and extra depth is drawn for settings that often the naked eye misses. ONe ongoing area of experimentation and refinement for me.

Yeah, when I was out in Arizona for thanksgiving I tried a few long exposure shots, but none turned out the way I wanted... I've been toying with posting one, but I'm a bit hesitant b/c it sorta sucks.

If you're not happy with it, you may want to post anyhow and ask in the artist comment for pointers and tips on how to do it better. Also when you upload it, there is the option at the box for Deviation Options to put Advanced Critique Encouraged over the comment box for that photo. There's many people around here with tons of experience. Most of whom are more than happy to share thier expertise.
Besides, I'd like to see it.
