Thank you. You had to dig pretty deep back into the old gallery to find these! I appreciate you taking the time.

They where in your β€œprints” collection so not really that hard, but you’ve got a beautiful gallery so it’s a pleasure!

Thanks you. He he. I just saw that word yesterday, in a camera review. Bokeh. bokeh. bokeh. bokeh. Kind of like the word "fetch" in nautical weather terminology. One of those terms that serves one purpose only.

Oooh, what does "fetch" mean in nautical weather terms?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

robert-kim-karen In reply to chilm [2008-03-28 17:40:37 +0000 UTC]

It refers to the distance over water in a straight line that the wind is blowing. The strength of the wind and the length of the fetch determines how large a wave swell gets generated. Important for shipping and surfing. Surfers are some of the best weather forecasters in the world. AT least when it comes to what size wave is going to hit what coastline.

I'm not sure. Somebody had requested "San Diego HDRi 06" as a print. But I don't think they've bought it yet. I'm not sure if we're notified if somebody makes a purchase or not. I should look into it though, cause I want make some decor prints and also some more serious art prints too. And there's a few I want to hang in my house. The whole print thing is new to me. If I learn anything about it I'll pass it along.

well, since prints cost money maybe you get something too, since you own the "copyright" on the site these are mostly guesses though

Yes, when you submit a photo, and they put you to the "submit as Print" thing before they load it to the gallery, there's a price list and some explanation of who gets how much. And your account gets credited $$$ on a sale. BUt I've never experienced the whole process of an actuall purchase yet.

A friend once said that selling art on dA is like trying to sell sand in the desert. I'm hoping to get some tourist traffic directed here too, non-dA member types. BUt we'll see what happens either way.
