I'm a huge fan of the Star Wars character 'Boba Fett'. He may have only appeared on screen a very small amount of time - but his impact on the Star Wars universe was huge. The concept of him as a 'super Stormtrooper' is a great idea - but I think what made him such a popular character had a lot to do with his design - which was the work of the great Joe Johnston. The attention to detail made him such an intriguing character that he became far more significant than his screen-time alone would suggest.That level of detail in Fett's costume makes him a very time-consuming character to draw. I've already drawn him a few times (check out my gallery) - but I felt like I hadn't really done the character justice. So I set out to draw the ultimate Boba Fett 'pin-up' piece. I've been drawing this for a while now and I'm finally happy with how it looks. Let me know what you think?

I might actually be warming to the character a little. He might become a villain I like on my short list. This bit of fanart looks awesome- that pose is epic.

I always had wondered how he was so popular with the "super nerds" Like you said, he did not show up that much in the movie, and he was foiled by a blind Solo and a plant in the sand. Not a proud ending. But from what I have read, he actually escaped the sarlac later on. can't remember how long it took him to escape though.

I think his popularity is because of what we don't (or didn't) know about him. Sometimes 'art' is about intrigue and enigma - it's what makes the Mona Lisa such a renowned work - even though it could be argued it's actually kind of boring!

Mona Lisa was famous because of the smile, keep in mind back then smiles was not invented, no one smiled back then. It made that painting look alien and rebellious. to people back then.

Tell me about it - all those scratches and dents take a long time to paint - and I try to work out from reference photos where they should all be - which takes even longer! Anyway - it's done now!
