I wanted to make a powerful, iconic imagine of Captain America in his classic costume and thought it would be fitting for him to be standing alongside a group of 'real-life' super-heroes!Like all of the pictures I've uploaded here - this is massively compressed to make it quicker to view. The original PSD file is 600dpi and over 260mb!

This is awesome! I'm actually working on a similar image for my buddies who are in Iraq and Afghanistan right now. I'll post it in my gallery when I finish it (very soon!). This is great work, and as a guy who recently retired after 26yrs in the Air Force, I'd like to say thank you for the tribute.

Hey there Simon. Thanks for the kind words. I usually like to draw characters in dynamic poses - but the for this one I thought it was more effective to just have Cap standing there looking 'stoic'.

Dynamic poses are always great but there are a few characters, Cap especially where a stoic pose always looks very apt.
This piece I reckon works really well because of that, it shows Cap as a leader and and an inspirer of men which I reckon is a big part of his character.
