So, I came across this drawing that was commissioned by and drawn by

And I really liked the design of MJ in the picture. The primary colors on the Ms. Marvel costume worked really well, and gave it a nice pop. Plus, I am a big fan of the character of Mary Jane Watson. So I decided to do a bit of fanart of my own.
The main thing I tweaked was giving her a blue mask that was more in line with the original one from the comics, which I feel balances better against MJ's crimson locks.
But, this kind of lit a fire under me, and prompted me to do a few of these drawings. So get ready for more "Marvelous Mary Jane" drawings!

Thanks for the mention. The idea of MJ as Ms Marvel was inspired by the seldom known fact that Mary Jane was supporting character and close Friend of Carol in her first title series for its first three issues before being written out after writers change. My what if idea was to ask would happen if MJ had stayed on the title as close confidant of Carol, imagining a scenario were she took on Ms Marvel role after Carol was incapacitated in some way, similar to Rhodny taking over as Iron Man. MJ Ms Marvel costume was based on Carol black Warbird suit but with a colour scheme similar to her original costume.
