You certainly did a good job blending the skull and the background.

Oo, its quite creepy.
I remember being completley petrified by those sort of skulls when i was a kid. They had an entire wall of those at a local museum and i refused to even walk into that room.
However, that was a long time ago, and i actaully think this looks cool. I like that it looks so old.
Also i like the flower, its beautiful.
Like both the skull and the flower. However, i can't really see the connection between the two of them. And i don't think they fit together. At least not like that. They look so... separted.
The combination skull and flower could look good, if they were more.. woven(is that a proper word? excuse my bad english) together.
But thats just my opinion. Really, i know nothing about photomanipulation and its one of the artforms that i have most trouble understanding, so maybe im not the right person to critique.
Anyway, sorry for taking so long before i commented.
Cheers.

ahh - yes, I read it a very long time ago. Your thoughtful comments are very much appreciated. When my art can bring forth such responses, it makes me very happy.

it definately reminds me of her work, i like the background texture, and the way the horns frame the flower.

It's difficult to comment when everything has been said already, but despite the obvious look of death, it remains quite a peaceful image.

Excellent composition. If I wanted to put a flower anywhere near a deer skull, that'd be exactly where I would put it.
I've always thought that deer skulls looked creepy. I remember when I had an art teacher that brought in an old cow skull that still had 'meat' on it, namely the snout. It freaked me out every day.

Holy smoke! Is that a photo? It looks like a painting or collage by Dave McKean (I believe it was), the guy who did all that art for Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" series. I like it! Very 'goth'.

Thanks for your perceptive comments in the thumbs forum: "Contrasts the images of darkness and death, in the deer skull, with an image of fragile beauty and life, in the rose."
It's a genuine pleasure when someone "gets" a piece of artwork you have done. Many thanks!!
