It would be impossible for a calf of just a few hours to make a jump like this on it's own, this was a very lucky shot where she was slinged out of her mothers slipstream when mum made a sharp U-turn

Not too long ago and you'd told me calves were born with little to no muscle - and by the time I wrote that comment it had apparently slimmed my mind already haha. But very cool, I knew baby dolphins hitched rides on their mom's slipstream, but I had no clue it was strong enough to actually propel them out of the water! Fascinating
