lol, I've only ever read them in French, so it sounds kinda weird to me (even though I'm bilingual, haha)... I know them as Idéfix (Ee-dey-fihx) and Milou (Mee-loo, though with less "luh" sound to the L)

Yup, they changed the names when they translated them to English. So Professor Tournesol became Professor Calculus, and Milou became Snowy, etc. I'm still familiar with the French names, though, because my dad speaks French.

I remember seeing one or two of the Tintin animated tv show a while back, and I found Tournesol's name kinda silly - kind-of an obvious choice for a professor, hahaha
