Yeah, this is my take on Cole Young if he were featured in the games. Here, he's not related to Hanzo, but he's still treated like family. Anyway, he started out as an MMA fighter, until one fight that caused his powers to emerge, causing him to accidentally injure his opponent. When that happened, he was disqualified and shunned due to the belief that he was cheating. His family wasn't afraid of him, but for their protection, he left them. At one point, he came across Kobra, who thought he'd be a good recruit for the Black Dragon. Kobra called in a couple of Black Dragon thugs for assistance, but before he could act, Scorpion appeared and killed his accomplices. Kobra retreated and Scorpion offered to teach Cole how to hone his powers and use them to fight for justice. Taking the nickname Carapace, Cole is now an honored member of the Shirai Ryu. He is able to create armored skin around his body that is capable of absorbing the kinetic energy from his opponents' attacks to empower his armored skin with heat. The energy within him can also be used to generate a pair of tonfas from his arms.

I had been wanting to make a version of Cole Young, I just wasn't sure how. Carapace works as his nickname because it refers to a protective or defensive covering (the shell of a turtle or crustacean, for example), like how his skin turns into metal armor. His powers don't come from an Arcana, due to them not existing in the games.
