I had been working on this all day
I also made a watermark thing while I was at it. I was always told to put my name on stuff, but I always disregarded that. So yeah I'm going to be placing my name on the stuff now. I also tried a new shading style, and I love it
It takes way longer than my normal shading though.
I came up with this after seeing a few cyber punk drawings or characters and wanted to draw my FCs in the theme.

This looks so freaking awesome!!!
Can't wait to see more of your artwork with this kind of shading, I think it shows more details on the figures
And the guns/armour designs look very detailed and something completely different from what I'm used to
Oh and the background colours give me a feeling like a battle is about to start or something, and the guns seem to have a swing motion going on so I guess these two are preparing for an epic battle of awesomeness

I'm actually pretty new at digital art. I haven't really done it that long. I'm going on 2 years of working with digital. I actually only started in the fall of 2010, and when I first joined DA. I'm still very new with working with it. Though with the use of tons of tutorials, observation, and practice. I've learned a few tricks

Yes, I've been drawing a lot traditional even since I was 4 so the characters and the shading was okay. I just really sucked at digital early last year.
That saying is correct, if you know how to work the tools, and use good combos. You don't need to use that many fancy stuff like downloading brushes to be lazy or slapping in pre-made photographs.

well early exposure to art help too. ^^ I didn't start drawing properly (meaning not a retarded abstract thing) till about 4 or so years ago so i still got a fair ways to go with traditional still.

I cell shade all the time, and with a little bit of a second go in shading in more darker areas. This one required a lot of layers of cell shading that it was a little difficult, and took longer than usual. Though I admit cell shading is really hard. I had to give up soft shading and force myself into cell shading until I've gotten better. So much better that now I actually like cell shading more than soft shading.
