Spike came in one of the later movies and looked nothing like Spyro. Now they changed him in FIM to look like Spyro so hes still the rip off.

Well after looking for proof, it dosen't say anything about Spike intending to look like Spyro. And it appears that the only color that spike and Spyro have is their purple scales.

Hello, just coming to settle this little argument here. The G4 Spike is based off of the G1 Spike that appeared in the FIRST ever episode/movie of My Little Pony. The reason he looks different is so that Spike matched the design style of the other characters. I mean, wouldn't it look weird if the G1 design of Spike was in G4? Also, I am one of those bronies who do own a shirt or two, but I don't flaunt it. If you don't try to change what people think, then it most likely never will. Basically, bronies decide to either be called homosexual forever, or they can try to do something about it.
