I’ve drawn Dorothy and Ozma a few times before, but this is my first deliberate Dorothy/Ozma (Dozma? Dorzma?) drawing. My interest in the Oz series has never had anything to do with imagining characters pairing up romantically, but I guess I have come to kind of ship these two. I have my doubts that it was something L. Frank Baum had in mind when he wrote his books, but for whatever reason, they seem more plausible to me as a couple than a lot of slash pairings.

Ironically, I might never have drawn something like this had I not been intensely annoyed recently by a homophobic Oz fan.

Does it reflect poorly on me if part of my motivation for this pic was pure spite? Oh, well!
